Hands put down the ax
and the punch card, so
people cooked meals and
played games together
without time constraints.

Rest became a revolutionary act of
radical resistance against
the grinding of bones
to press into ornamental coin.

There was no more striving and straining against
the steep slope of superiority politics, no more competition to
see who can hoard the most resources with the toothiest grin.

There was no more pushing and pulling against
the rhythm of the seasons, and instead an invitation
was accepted to become custodians of the land together.

Hands put down the
picket signs and no
longer had to throw
bricks because human
rights were sacred.

Sacrifices of humanity on the
bloodied altars of productivity
became toppled relics of a
tyrannical paradigm.
